Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering and a registered APEGGA member;
- Minimum 10-15 years related industry experience directly involved with oil sands reservoir engineering aspects;
- Experience with advanced Decline Curve Analysis, OFM, Reservoir Simulation & CMG Suite and Exotherm is an asset;
- Highly organized with excellent analytical, integration and project management abilities;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team focused skills; and
- Results oriented, decisive and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a multi-disciplined oil sands team to provide input into the reserves assessment and reservoir modeling;
- Manage input, direction and assessment/evaluation on existing oil sands assets;
- Identify and coordinate technical data gathering & analysis;
- Manage teams in assessing project risk and uncertainty on capital programs;
- Manage Reservoir Engineering staff in practical and analytical processes for implementation into their work processes.
Opportunity:
- The successful candidate will report to the COO and be accountable for providing leadership for reservoir engineering operations.
