Qualifications:
- A B.Sc. in Geology with 8-15 years of oil and gas experience; 3+ years of Eastern Alberta/Western Saskatchewan heavy oil experience is a requisite
- Proven track record and reputation as a successful low cost oil and gas finder
- Strong structural and stratigraphic mapping skills to develop and initiate well recompletions, re-entries, infill, outpost and new pool vertical and horizontal drilling programs
- Experience in field depletion planning and implementation of field development, secondary and advanced recovery techniques
- Strong Petrophysical and sample/core analytical and interpretation skills
- Ability to integrate 3D seismic interpretations into geological maps
- Strong operational and organizational skills with regulatory experience
- Solid computer skills; GeoScout experience would be an asset
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to communicate well with others and work in multidisciplinary teams
- Opportunity driven; ability to identify an opportunity and go after it
- Creative, enthusiastic and results oriented; a self starter with the ability to set goals and achieve or exceed them
