Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Engineering, with accreditation as P.Eng. with APEGGA.
- Previous experince as a Department Manager, or Senior Project Manager preferred.
- 15+ years of EPCM experience, preferably in the oil and gas marketplace with demonstrated proficiency and background in discipline engineering and/or project management
- Experience with sweet & sour gas processing, conventional & heavy oil processing, pipeline design and operation, power generation facility design is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, communication, supervisory, analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering Manager will provide leadership and guidance to engineering discipline teams, directly supervising Mechanical, Process, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation and Drafting Discipline Supervisors.
- Liaison with Project Management Supervisor & Vice President Projects to provide updated Manpower Loading reports and forecasting
- Preparation and management of corporate and departmental budgets
- Champion of the corporate Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) program, responsible to ensure the ongoing development, training and implementation of the program to meet Client, Vendor and Company HSE goals
- Champion of the ongoing engineering Standards, Procedures and Specifications development, maintenance and monitoring. Also responsible for administrative and corporate procedures and standards.
- Accountable for corporate Personnel Management programs regarding technical training, HSE training, mentoring, career planning, performance reviews, salary administration, personnel recruiting, etc.
- Accountable to achieve Certificate of Registration (COR) for the organization? Champion of the corporate Quality Assurance program and accountable to ensure the implementation and rollout of ISO9000.
- Ensure training and effective utilization of project management system by all discipline executors and reviewers throughout the organization
Opportunity:
- The Engineering Manager will be key position and will work closely with the President and Vice President Projects for long term planning as well as to provide direction and guidance to all project, engineering and administrative staff
